CRITERIA FOR HISTORICAL JUDGING OF ARTWORK -- JUNE 2005
No consideration was given for artistic merit.
The following five factors were measured for each work:
Historical significance: How important is the subject to Redmond's history?
Accuracy: How accurate is representation?
Perspective/architecturally true, allowing for limitations of medium used
Romanticized or broadly embellished
Context: Is context inherent or expressed, linking the piece to Redmond?
Uniqueness: Is the piece unique, or has it been represented repeatedly?
Purpose: Is the purpose of preservation through representation fulfilled with this work?
